Festival Background

After our first festival in 2025, we sat down to talk about what had worked, what we could improve and, most importantly, what would make us different from the average whiskey festival.

We realised that, even more than the great whiskey, what captured our audiences most last year was hearing people’s stories—and that’s what the Navan Whiskey Festival 2026 is built around.

We always want to hear from the distillers, blenders, coopers and ambassadors who create and represent Irish whiskey. But we’re just as interested in the people on the other side of the glass: the writers, collectors, historians, enthusiasts and characters who enjoy sharing and promoting whiskey in their own way.

What to Expect

We’re also determined that this won’t be an intimidating festival reserved for serious whiskey geeks. Our own Bermingham’s Whiskey Society is a healthy mix of experts, collectors and enthusiastic drinkers, alongside people with a passing interest who simply enjoy the social side of our monthly gatherings. We want the festival to have that same warm and welcoming spirit

You don’t need an encyclopaedic knowledge of whiskey to join us. In fact, you don’t even need to drink it—we have discounted non-drinking tickets available for every event, so everyone can be included.

More than Whiskey

As a completely independent festival, we have the freedom to create a programme centred on people, curiosity, conversation and the incredible stories found throughout the world of whiskey.

Join us in Navan

Our aim is to involve the whole town of Navan, as well as to welcome visitors from further afield through tastings, conversations, stories and events that offer something a little different.

Join us in Navan from 15–18 October 2026 for four days of great whiskey, fascinating people and stories worth sharing.
